It was a cheerful school day. I was ready to leave for school. It was the time I knew anything will arise, so the story starts here. I my math, science, and elective class is the same teacher. We had a science lab in science they called it the jello lab. Everyone was eager to make jello. I had fun too, so we remained quiet so we can bring out the jello from the refrigerator and it was time to experiment. We ate the jello, and the teacher asked for volunteers for rinsing trays and beakers. I suggested washing the trays with my friend Dileen. It was our next class which was our elective, and it was a performing arts class.
While the students were showing up in the classroom, we still washed the dishes. My teacher was explaining to my classmates in the other class what we were working on. I reached to get the glass beaker, and I was speaking to my friend while washing the beaker. Having my hand with the sponge with water and soap I placed my hand inside the beaker to rinse the interior it can’t feel anything blood came out of my hand between my thumb and finger on my right hand felt nothing just heard a scream from my friend saying your hand is open. I look and yell at my teacher, and she didn’t hear. me I kept yelling until my friend went up to her, she saw my hand and she led me a towel. She called a girl up to take me down to the nurse’s office. I wasn’t in pain because I was squeezing my hand with a towel.
She saw my hand. I screamed because the towel that the teacher gave me was full of blood and it was just a frightful moment. She called my parents to come to get me. My sister and my mom came, and they asked me how this happened, I told them I don’t know because my head was blank; I had nothing to say. My sister took me to the Urgent Care, and they said they can’t give me stitches because they saw me shivering and the pain was getting worse I could feel the pain at this. moment.
They wrapped my hand. I was in fear I couldn’t use my hand anymore. Then I went to Sharp Hospital, and they put me the liquid to numb my hand to put the stitches. My hand wasn’t numb, then they gave me pills. They called me up to the room, so the doctor can see my hand, he said you need seven stitches and I will be right back to the supplies He came and I knew the needle was in the tray was going in my hand and it was a scary moment. I was crying and yelling in fear. Every time the needle got closer to my injured hand, I would shake because I don’t like needles at all on my skin. I asked the doctor can my mom come inside and hold my hands. He said yes and my mom came in holding my hands the doctors told me to turn my head so I don’t see the needle going inside my hand.
He slowly puts the needle in and I scream as loud as I can. Then he tells me to wait a few minutes, so your hand is numb, then he puts another needle inside with the thread attached to it. he puts on the stitches and finishes and wraps my hand. When I was all done, I went home and took Tylenol and went to sleep hoping it was a dream.
