PepsiCo: PepsiCo Canada is most famous organization. It is divided into two parts: PepsiCo Beverages Canada and PepsiCo Foods Canada. It provides different products of different brands like Pepsi, Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade, Lay’s, Doritos and Tostitos. From past few years, it plays crucial role in saving environment by applying sustainable strategies. Its main vision strategy is Performance with purpose. Its new plan for sustainability will focus on three main goals as given below:
Company thinks that these longterm goals will provide long term financial performance and returns. During last decade, PepsiCo becomes a role model for others by accepting sustainable measures. PepsiCo is working on products, planet and people.
Products: PepsiCo’s main aim is to provide better products with quality and nutritious values. By following the guidelines of the World Health Organization and other authorities, the company is trying to reduce added sugar, sodium levels in its products. These are the goals for 2025:
Protecting the Planet: As we know our planet is getting polluted day by day. Most of the organizations are working on sustainability development. PepsiCo is trying to reduce its waste and carbon emissions and promote sustainable sourcing of crops. It tries to reduce its waste by 50% and use recoverable and recyclable packaging material till 2025. There are many other goals also which will be used by company to make the planet green and clean. Empowering People: PepsiCo’s aim is to empower people and social development across its operations, supply chain and communities. PepsiCo is focusing on Human Rights in its supply chain. Furthermore, company is adopting new initiatives to support women, farmers, diversity in workforce and economic development in communities around the world. Impact on Triple bottom line: PepsiCo is working on its main goal ‘Performance with Purpose’. It means providing healthier future to people and planet. Triple bottom line also includes 3p’s people, planet and product. PepsiCo is trying to reduce its waste by applying 5 R’s reduce, recycle, use renewable resources, remove environmental sensitive material and reuse. It also cuts its water consumption. PepsiCo treats its employees as assets. There are lot of training programs and also award programs for employees. Overall, PepsiCo is trying its best to save planet by focusing on people and its products. (Triple bottom line of pepsico)
